Congratulations to the following students who tested November 28, 2009 for their Black Belts.  Everyone did a terrific job and had a fantastic test.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our Annual Christmas Party held on December 5, 2009.  It was a well attended event with over 100 people.  We hope that everyone enjoyed the demonstrations, the amazing food and the Children’s’ gift exchange.  It was a terrific opportunity to relax, have fun and meet new people. 

Thanks to all the families who generously donated non perishable food items to the Veterans Food Bank.  Your donations were greatly appreciated.  

We would like to give a special thanks to all the people who helped organize and volunteer their time for help make the Annual Christmas Party a success.

First Aid Training

Date:  Sunday, February 28 & Sunday, March 7, 2010

Time:  9:00 AM - 4:35 PM

Who can attend:  Ages 12 & Up.  All belt levels are welcome.

Cost:  $100 + GST (Minimum of 10 students)

Basic Standard First Aid Training.  This is a 14 hour training session covering emergency scene management; shock, unconsciousness and fainting; artificial respiration; choking; severe bleeding; cardiovascular emergencies; CPR and AED (level C); bone and joint injuries - upper and lower limbs; muscle strains; head, spinal and pelvic injuries; wound care including burns.  There is a short exam at the end of the course. 

Please note that all students who are Red Stripe Level and above are required have proper first aid training.

Participants who are between the ages of 12 and 16 years must be accompanies by a parent who is also enrolled in the class.
